Just as we have a responsibility to our
pets, we also have a responsibility to our communities. Here are a
few things to keep in mind to help our pets remain welcomed citizens
where we live. |
 |
| Aggressive behavior, except in
response to a real threat, is never acceptable. Jumping up, biting,
scratching and especially attacking behaviors need to be controlled. |
 |
| Nobody likes relentless barking.
A dog that barks uncontrollably may have an emotional issue that needs
to be addressed. |
 |
| Waste and destroying property
can be big problems that turn a neighborhood against dogs. It's incumbent
on all owners to pick up after their pets and to rectify any destructive
behavior. |
 |
| Trespassing is dangerous for pets
and people alike. Most municipalities have leash laws that require
you to keep your pet under control when it is off your property. |
